Hi, my name is Mai, and I am reaching out with a heavy heart. On Mother’s Day, May 11, 2025, my beloved older sister tragically passed away, leaving behind her four children and a devoted husband.

Just days before, on May 3, she and her family had relocated to North Carolina, full of hope—hope that she could finally get on the kidney transplant list, where the wait was shorter. She was fighting for her future, but as a dialysis patient, she was unable to secure insurance coverage, making her medical journey even harder.

Now, we face a new challenge: honoring her memory and ensuring that her family has the support they need during this incredibly difficult time.
