Help Mais's family rebuild after the Glenthorne Taree floods
Donation protected
When the devastating floods swept through Taree, Mais and her young family lost almost everything. Their home was swallowed up by rising waters within minutes, leaving them with nothing but the clothes on their backs. Furniture, clothes, school supplies, and precious memories—all gone. Mais, a hardworking mother of three, had spent years building a safe and loving home. Mais and her husband have always been the first to help in times of need, and now they are the ones in crisis.
Mais is a much-loved member of our team at TAFE NSW, working in Equity, Foundation Skills, and Aboriginal Culture and Languages at the Taree campus. Over the weekend, our team came together to support her, spending hours at her house cleaning up after the flood. We threw out all the furniture, whitegoods, food, clothes, and toys, and then went on to rip out the walls and floors. The home is now a shell of what it once was.
The flood destroyed their house. They are currently staying with friends while trying to piece their lives back together, but the road ahead is long and full of uncertainty. With your help, we can provide immediate assistance to Mais and her family. Food, clothes, and school supplies for the kids—every donation, no matter how small, brings them one step closer to normality and rebuilding their life.
Thank you for standing with Mais and her family during this heartbreaking time. Your support means the world to them and offers a glimmer of hope in their darkest hours.
