Hi everyone,

Our dear friend and family member, Maisae Affour, who has shared so many wonderful memories with us over the years, was diagnosed with brain cancer last week at age 52. As the dedicated principal of a school in Sacramento, California, she has always been there to help others.

My sister Houda and I have come from New Jersey and Florida to show our love and support during this challenging time. Maisae has always been the rock of her family—caring for her son, who is in his first year of college, as well as her parents who live with her. She has just started chemotherapy and will begin radiation next week.

We’ve set up a GoFundMe campaign as a way for everyone to contribute and show support. It would be a beautiful world if we could all share in each other’s struggles and help one another.
