Help Mahnoz Recover!
Donation protected
Hi all,
We are Sarah and Julie and we have created this account to raise funds to help support our friend Mahnoz. Mahnoz was traveling to support the community efforts of the Baha’is and visit family, the day before her flight when she suffered a life-altering accident. She fell, twisted, fractured, and broke her right foot and ankle in 4 places. While one of the breaks was internal, three of the fractures exited the skin. She has had her first surgery to reposition the bones and is in an incredible amount of pain. She needs our help to return to the United States and continue her multiple surgeries and long recovery. Unfortunately, because of this condition she is not able to work at all during her recovery. Her recovery will include more surgeries along with long standing physical therapy, which is projected to last 6 months or more to enable her to learn to walk again and be self-sufficient.
If you know her, then you know how much she gives her time to others in the Baha’i community and beyond. She is the epitome of the phrase, “See ye no strangers; rather see all men as friends.” She is a bright light to so many of us and has always had a hand in helping others, gathering people together, has been a listening ear, a source of encouragement, and has created many joyous memories with each of us. This is our chance friends to give back to dear Mahnoz and help ease the huge burden on her and allow her to focus on recovery.
The cost of medical care in the United States is very high and is a vast burden on anyone, and her medical bills are even higher in the area where she is currently. Unfortunately, her health insurance does not cover her care there either. All support is much appreciated, including giving of your time, assistance, and prayers.
Any financial support that is given will be used primarily for her medical bills and journey home and secondarily for her basic living costs. Thank you kindly for your support of such a dear friend to all.
With love, Sarah and Julie
