help mahmoud’s family to evacuate from gaza

My name is Sarah and I am from Germany.

I'm sharing this story so our community can help raise money for my friend Mahmoud and his family.

Here are his words:

My name is Mahmoud. I decided to collect donations for me and my family after a lot of thought and hesitation, as I find myself in a desperate situation.

I ask for your support to evacuate my family of 5 from Gaza. This amount will be used to arrange travel for me and my family. The cost of travel for an adult is 5,000€ and for a small child is 2,500€. I and my family of five members need a total of 20,000€.

During this ongoing war the situation has become unbearable, and I fear for my family's safety and well-being.

I am asking for your support to help my family who are currently trapped in the war-torn Gaza area.

The ongoing conflict has destroyed our lives, leaving us homeless, vulnerable, and facing the constant threat of death.

I am in desperate need of your help, in helping my family escape this dire situation and provide us with a chance for a safer and more secure future.

Challenges we face:

As the war in Gaza continues to escalate, we have finally realized that our only chance to survive is to escape the area. We have endured unimaginable suffering, witnessed the destruction of our homes and the loss of loved ones. Constant fear and uncertainty have taken a toll on our physical and mental health.

My family consists of 5 people. Me, my wife, who is six months pregnant, and our three children (Rital, Naya, Hamdi). These are innocent children under the age of 12 years.

Last October, I lost my job as a clothing and shoe merchant, and my shops and home were destroyed.

We were forced to flee our destroyed home in northern Gaza, and move to a tent in the Deir al-Balah area, south of Gaza, in search of safety. We left our home with nothing but the clothes we were wearing, and the attached photos of the devastation will give you a glimpse of the extent of our loss.

This huge amount is beyond our means and we urgently need your help to make this evacuation possible. Your donation, no matter how small, will make a big impact and will help reunite my family in a safe environment.
