Help Mahmoud Sahmoud and family survive the war in Gaza

My name is Aniruddha Das and I am here to raise money for my friend Mahmoud Nasr Sahmoud in Sujaiya in Northern Gaza.

This is his story in his own words:

To all the free people of the world -

I am Mahmoud from Gaza. I am telling you my story of suffering in this war. Before October 7th, I had a beautiful life, a nice family, a wife and a job. My wife was pregnant. We were waiting for our first child, but we celebrated only for a moment!

Our life turned into hell. My wife had to have an abortion after suffering intense fear of the bombing and fleeing from one place to another in search of safety. We lost the joy of welcoming our first child. Our house was destroyed and my wife was displaced to the south, whilst I remained in the north. Our dreams were destroyed.

I suffered from severe hunger and lack of resources, and my wife also suffers from having no tent and a lack of money, as there is no work and no source of income.

I am talking to you and I am full of hope that you will help me, even a little, in order to save what is left of the family, as my brother was killed and my other brother was injured. We were separated and suffered from hunger, thirst and lack of cleaning materials. There is no electricity or education or anything.

I hope that you will help me even a little, as life has become very difficult. Every little penny will help save our lives.

The funds will be used to help Sahmoud to purchase basic living necessities such as food, water, fuel for cooking, cleaning materials, blankets.
