I am Mahmoud Hamdan Abed. I am 17 years old and I am from Gaza. My house in the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood was bombed three times (see the photo for before and after) and I need money to buy food and continue to meet my needs. There is no electricity, no water, and no food because prices are so high. Food, phones, and other appliances are all very expensive. Efforts to provide eSims to Gazans do not apply to me because I do not have an eSim phone. I pay 70 shekels/about 20 USD monthly for Internet, but a phone with eSIM capabilities would help me greatly. The current cost is 2,000 shekels or about $550 USD. The price of flour itself used to be $5 and is now $200.
The cover photo is an old photo of my family's home in Tal al-Hawa. This is an old picture. It is now destroyed. It is finished. It has been completely destroyed.

I am Brooke Tweedie, the writer of this post. I am organizing this fundraiser from the USA (Connecticut) after Mahmoud messaged me on Instagram. He has told me about his struggles and I want to help him live in these extremely challenging conditions. Any donation helps, and could mean an easier week for someone whose home and access to resources was destroyed. With the funds raised I will be wiring money to him via his brother, Wessam.
