Help Mahmoud and his family survive in Gaza
Donation protected
Hello compassionate people,
My name is Rosie I am from the UK. My friend, Mahmoud Qwaider, and I hope to raise some money to buy a large tent for him and his family to survive the harsh winter they face once again in Gaza.
Mahmoud is 22 years old from the Gaza Strip - for 11.5 months Gaza has been under extremely strong attack and most of it is now sadly destroyed. Equivalent of over 9 Hiroshima's have been dropped across the 25 mile long Gaza strip and it has been 11 months of constant terror, death and displacement.
Him and his family are currently in a cramped, worn out tent held together by clothes and it will not be sufficient for colder months; we aim to purchase a larger tent to fit him and his family of 12, in total. Prior to the genocide Mahmoud worked in agriculture but now he just works hard everyday to survive with his family during the famine and constant bombing.
Mahmoud is very humble and kind, he just wishes to keep everyone warm during the winter and if there are any extra donations it will be used to feed his family. (2 eggs each for 12 people is around $98 right now and 1 potato is $8, so you can understand the impossibility of surviving).
His family is large with 9 siblings in total and a mum and dad, so every donation really counts to keep them alive.
All donations, small or large will make a huge difference and all will go directly to Mahmoud and family to buy a tent and food to survive the winter in this truly hellish situation. Even £1 will help!
£700 for a larger tent
£400 to pay for his current tent (old owner remains unpaid)
£1900 + to be used for food / medicine / water / supplies for family members incl 8 children
Please keep Palestine and Mahmoud's family in your hearts.

The Family’s current tent - clearly not suitable for living and especially when winter comes

UPDATE - this is Mahmouds mother searching for firewood to cook with. In mahmouds words “ When we returned to the area, I could not find my way home because of the destruction. My city had turned to hell.”
Mahmoud, his mother and some of his family :)
