I can no longer bear the pain alone... I need your support."
My name is Mahmoud Musleh Saleh, I am 27 years old and I live in the central Gaza Strip. I belong to a family of 12, including my elderly parents and a small child. Before the war, I worked in poultry farming. Now, everything has changed.
We were displaced from our home and forced to move from place to place, first to Rafah, then to Deir al-Balah, and then back to our original neighbourhood after the occupation forces withdrew. But when I returned, I found my home in ruins.
We were living in a tent, exposed to the bitter cold, hunger and fear. We were forced to evacuate twice due to military warnings. My mother suffers from diabetes and severe high blood pressure, and my brother has chronic sinus and chest breathing problems.
But the greatest pain in my heart was the loss of my sister, who died because we couldn't find the medicine she needed.
Why I am reaching out to you?
I tried to hold on, but we had nothing left to eat. I used to collect meals from the local soup kitchen, but it was no longer enough. With no income, no shelter and no other options, I am turning to this campaign for help.
