My name is Mahmoud, from Gaza. I am a graduate of Al-Aqsa University – Faculty of Computers and Information Technology (IT).

I launched this fundraising campaign through my friend Sarah, because I still hold onto hope the hope to remain, to live with dignity, and to rebuild our life on our land.

I live with my family of six: my wife, my parents, my brother, and my sister. We used to live together in one simple home, and I had always dreamed of supporting my family through the small bakery I opened during my university years our only source of income.

But when the war began, we lost everything.

Our family home was completely destroyed.

The bakery that provided for us was also destroyed.

Then we lost our last shelter my small apartment, the home where I had hoped to start a warm life with my wife.

Since then, we have been living in a worn-out tent that does not protect us from the heat of summer nor the rain of winter.

What breaks my heart most is that my wife is pregnant, and we will welcome our first baby in a few months… I live every day afraid that our child will be born into these harsh and unfit conditions.

Today, all I hope for is to build a simple caravan to shelter my family — something that protects us from the heat, the flooding, and offers a clean and safe place for our coming baby.

But the cost of a caravan in Gaza has reached $6,000 due to scarcity of materials and soaring prices.
