My name is Mahesh Goyal (B.Tech, IIT Kanpur 1989), and I never imagined I would reach a day where I would need to ask for help. But life has completely broken me — physically, financially, and emotionally — and I am fighting to survive.
For the past months, I have been in and out of the hospital, barely able to walk, barely able to see, and unable to work. I am facing the terrifying possibility of homelessness.
Today, I’m sharing my story with humility and honesty, hoping that friends, batchmates, and compassionate strangers can help me survive this chapter.

❤️ My Health Has Collapsed Completely
In a short period of time, I have suffered:
• Legally blind in my left eye (90% vision gone)
• A broken foot that requires surgery soon
• Three heart attacks
• Severe diabetes
• Major Depressive Disorder (Treatment-Resistant)
• Multiple hospital stays
• Extreme physical weakness
The combination of blindness, foot injury, heart damage, and severe depression has left me unable to work or even perform basic daily tasks.
I am alone in the U.S. without family support, and every day I live with the fear of losing my home.

Rent + Utilities for 24 months:
$2,500 × 24 = $60,000
This fundraiser will help me:
• Stay housed
• Get foot surgery
• Receive treatment for vision loss
• Manage diabetes
• Attend cardiology and mental health appointments
• Buy food and basic essentials
• Pay for transportation to doctors
Your help could literally save my life.
