Help Mahbouba Seraj Protect Afghan Women

When the Taliban took over Afghanistan in 2021, almost overnight the rights of women there were flipped upside down. No longer able to attend school past 6th grade, unable to hold most jobs, and having to follow strict social customs, the women of Afghanistan had their humanity stripped from them.

We are raising funds for Mahbouba Seraj and her organization Afghan Women Skills Development Center. Mahbouba is a Time100 honoree, Nobel Peace Prize nominee, and as far as I saw when I visited Afghanistan, one of the few counterforces to Taliban rule. When everyone fled Afghanistan in 2021, she decided to stay and protect the women she had promised to serve.

With the recent decline in international support, her shelter is facing severe shortages. Every dollar you give goes directly to Mahbouba and her shelter and supports essential needs like clothing, medication, staff salaries, electricity, water, and rent.
