Help Mahamadou's family as we cope with tragedy

Donation protected
On January 12th, my husband, Mahamadou Kabba, father of 5, was shot while driving in Renton, Washington. This week, he passed away in the hospital, leaving a loving family that stretches across three continents behind.

Mahamadou was a kind, caring, and hardworking family man who would always go the extra mile to help others. His favorite way to spend his free time was at home with family, including his five children, Mahamadou, Maramya, Aisha, Idrees, Mohamad, and Selma. When he wasn’t at home or working, he could usually be found at the mosque, taking Arabic or Islamic Studies courses.

Mahamadou was also involved with his community of workers; he was one of the first individuals in the Seattle area to testify and protest on behalf of the rights of Uber drivers. Whether within his faith community or as a leader among the driver community, Mahamadou would always strive to be a voice for the voiceless and reach out to anyone around him facing troubles.

Limited details about Mahamadou’s shooting are available at this time, but an investigation is ongoing. I am now asking for your help; I need support in funding Mahamadou’s medical and funeral costs and supporting our family in this challenging time. Please give what you’re able and keep Mahamadou, myself, and our family in your thoughts and prayers.

Thank you for all your help and jazakum allah khair,

Khadija
