Assalamu alaikum my name is Fathia Ali, and I am fundraising for my nephew, Mahad Mohamed.

Mahad is not only a devoted husband, he is also the father of six young children who depend on him every day to keep a roof over their head. He is known by everyone around him as a kind, dependable, and cheerful father. Someone who carries himself with patience, and generosity no matter the circumstances. Mahad has always been the one to lift everyone up in his community to be there when someone needs a helping hand, but he is the one in need of help now.

He recently suffered a severe fall that left him with three fractures in his back, including a fracture at L1 which is painfully pressing on his spinal cord. Because he already had a diagnosis of spinal stenosis, this injury has dramatically worsened his condition. What was once manageable is now a life-threatening emergency. Without urgent spinal surgery, the risk of permanent paralysis and other complications grows with each passing day.

Unfortunately, this surgery cannot be performed in Somalia. The only option for him to receive advanced care is to be transported by stretcher to Virinchi Health Care Private Limited in Hyderabad India.

Our family is doing everything we can, but the costs of surgery, hospital care, and medical transport are overwhelming. We cannot do this without your support. To confirm Mahad’s condition and treatment plan, I will attach his MRI and CT scans, along with the hospital letter from India.

This is not just about saving Mahad’s life; it’s about giving his family of six hope that their father will get a chance to walk again. It’s about ensuring that a man who has always been a source of joy, strength, and reliability for his loved ones gets the chance to smile again, and to continue being the incredible human being that he is.
