Hello! This is Maggie, and she’s raising funds to bring a service dog into her life. This past year has brought some new challenges with her health. She was recently diagnosed with Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS), and along with her history of epilepsy, it can make daily life unpredictable.
A trained service dog would be life-changing for her, not only by alerting her to sudden heart rate and physical changes, but also by bringing a kind of joy and comfort that would make each day easier to face.
She’s been working on this for over a year and has been saving and researching steadily. She want to do this the right way and give a dog the best home possible. She has the means to responsibly care for a dog long term, but the upfront costs of finding a dog compatible with allergies, adoption or purchase fees, and professional service training programs are daunting. I know she can give a dog a happy, stable home, and she’s ready to take on that responsibility fully; she just need a little help getting started.
With Christmas around the corner, there’s no gift she would want more than the chance to finally take this step. If you feel able to contribute, it would mean the world to her and bring her one step closer to the support and companionship she’s been dreaming of for years.
