Help Magic Sam Represent Team GB at Magic World Championship
Donation protected

I would like to thank all donors so far and would like to make it very clear, that I have received some generous funding from The Magic Circle, which will is going to cover my flights and the very expensive issue of having my grand finale over in Turin. For which I am very grateful.
And that this fundraiser is to help me cover other costs to push me over the edge and really smash the competition.
Hi everyone,
firstly 20% on day one thankyou so much, with this momentum i really may have a chance
If you know me already—thank you for being here. If not, my name is Samuel Hogarth, also known by my stage names Magic Sam, Sam Hurst, The People's Magician, and LondonStreetMagic.
I've spent all my adult life learning, making mistakes, and pushing forward—starting out in a small working-class town and striving to become the best entertainer I can be. That journey has given me many incredible life experiences, but none quite like the one I’m about to share with you.
I'm incredibly proud (and still in shock!) to announce that I’ve been officially selected to represent Team GB and The Magic Circle at this year’s FISM World Championships of Magic in Turin, Italy—in the Street Magic category.
To give you some context: FISM is to magic what the Olympics is to sport, or the Oscars to film. Only the very best in the world are chosen to represent their country and compete for the title of World Champion. It’s the highest honour a magician can receive—and truly a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
And I believe, genuinely, I have a real shot at winning.
Why? Because I’ve spent years on the streets of Covent Garden perfecting a show that entertains audiences of all ages. I’m also proud to say I perform the only street magic finale in the world where a randomly chosen spectator visibly levitates 6 feet in the air—surrounded on all sides by the audience. It’s a moment of pure wonder, and the kind of thing I hope to bring to the world stage.
But here’s where I need your help.
FISM doesn’t just judge magic. Like Olympic gymnastics, everything is scored—from scripting and choreography to costume, props, and stage.
As generous and helpful as the Magic Circle has been with funding and Rodney James Piper bringing an illusion from spain for me to use to save the £1000s it woud cost to get there, there is still more i need to reall smash this my act needs polishing. My case is battered, my costume is worn and dull, and my props have seen better days. To compete at this level, everything needs to be world-class. That means working with expert craftsmen, sourcing specialist materials, and preparing for any last-minute repairs while I’m away from my family.
I'm asking—humbly and hopefully—if you’d consider donating anything at all to help me get across the finish line. Even a small amount will make a huge difference.
As a thank you, I’ll be creating a daily video diary in Turin, personally thanking donors by name and sharing my journey through the competition.
I know times are tough right now, so thank you just for reading this far. I hope I’ve earned your support, and if you can’t donate, please consider sharing this message to help me reach others who might.
With love, magic, and hope,
Sam ✨
