Help Maggie Zacca's Final Bow be with Dignity & Comfort
Donation protected
Hello, I'm Scott. Some of you may remember me as the guy behind the camera, working in the background, occasionally dancing a show together, or just in Maggie's shadow. For those who do not know her, it is impossible to separate fact from fiction, the Maggie from the myth; she was a legend. For more than 25 years, we shared our lives on and off the dance floor. She was a top national competitor, a trailblazing judge, and an inspiration to countless dancers. Her passion and talent were always evident in any dance studio and on any dance floor. Now, she is taking her last bow.
In late 2020, doctors diagnosed her with dementia. Over the past four years, her condition progressed into severe Alzheimer's. In early October 2024, Maggie was admitted to the ER, and in November she entered Hospice at Vasona Creek in Los Gatos, CA.
If you can, I encourage you to visit her. While she is bed-bound and may not respond verbally, she appreciates company. She will smile - perhaps faintly - but it will be warm and meaningful.
I’ve done my best to support Maggie through this journey, but the challenges are more than I can manage, so I'm starting this GoFundMe. The $3,000 I am hoping to raise will help cover immediate expenses such as medical bills, hospice care, final arrangements, and more I'm still trying to plan and get in order.
These funds will help ensure Maggie continues to receive good, compassionate care and comfort she deserves in her final days. Any amount you can contribute will make a real difference in ensuring Maggie's dignity and peace.
Even if you cannot contribute financially, sharing this GoFundMe link and spreading the word would mean the world to us.
Thank you for your generosity, support, and love during this difficult time, and remember, whilst life may not be the party we hoped for, whilst here, she would want us to dance, and remember to smile.
Sincerely,
Scott
