Hi my name is Lizbeth Jaramillo and I fund raising for my little niece Amairani,
On April 17th while my niece and her family were gearing up to commemorate the birthday of my Late Brother whom we lost to COVID a couple years back, their lives were once again about to take an unfortunate turn of events that left them again heart broken, distraught and on their knees with God. After a run to the ER to check for appendicitis her CT Scan found the unimaginable. They found a tumor in her right kidney that would be confirmed to be a Favorable Wilms Tumor two times larger than her kidney with some of her lymph nodes and lungs also being affected. It is my believe that no parent should ever have to witness their own child fighting against such a vile disease at such a young age.
Amairany “Maggie” whom we all know and love was hospitalized and underwent her first surgery and chemo treatment within days of that horrible ER visit. Ever since Maggie has been doing weekly chemo in hopes that the tumor will shrink to allow surgeons to remove.
Maggie is the grand daughter of my late Brother and at the age of four she’s come to our lives helping alleviate his loss with a smile that brightens any room she’s in. She’s the girl with the bubbly personality you see wearing a princess dress + heels to any event. She’s her mother’s ray of sunshine, daddies everything and our reminder of whom my brother was.
These news took all of us by surprise and left us in a state of shock, couldn’t even begin to imagine what Maggie’s parents went through when the news were given to them..
Maggie will finish her first round of chemo that God willing will allow for surgery early June just to finish with 6 more months of chemo and radiation. We are grateful to know that there is a high rate of cure within this type of cancer but we know the road ahead will be long and should not be fought alone. I know in my heart that our family will leave them alone during these times but during something of this sort they need a larger army. I hope we can help them fight this monster and ensure that a mountain of medical bills does not become a bigger pain when their priority should only be Maggie beating cancer and ringing the bell with her siblings Mateo and Thiago.
In advance I want to thank you all who help and whom send prayers their way.
