Laryngeal Paralysis is a condition that causes dysfunction of the larynx causing the reduced ability to breathe deeply and can obstruct the airway, the windpipe fails to open correctly when breathing in. Severe cases of laryngeal paralysis can lead to suffocation, but treatment is available in the form of surgery called “tie-back” procedure, which helps open the larynx to improve breathing.
Our Sweet Maggie MagPie
Maggie is in a state of emergency and has an advanced case of laryngeal paralysis; she is unable to run and play because any excitement will cause her to potentially suffocate. MagPie or “Pie” as her family affectionately calls her, is Mama to three human babies. She is a loving caretaker to Sawyer, Wayland, and Vivien . Pie loves and cares for her family with such deep devotion. She is a gentle loving soul that just wants to play and go on long walks with her kids. Pie is unable to do the things she loves without having immediate surgery to correct her larynx. The sadness in her eyes as she is made to lay and be calm instead of running and jumping with the kids is heartbreaking.
Please find it in your heart to help us fund this necessary surgery so that we can have the old happy Pie back. Pie is not able to have any quality of life without this surgery and it could take her life at a moment’s time. We love Pie with all our hearts, she is a member of our family, and any small donation would be appreciated beyond measure. Your life-saving gift would mean the world to us. Please share our story so we can reach as many people as possible.
