Our sweet Maggie lived the most amazing 10 years of life! Maggie’s smile was captivating, her personality was larger than life and her love for others—especially other kids, was beyond measure. Maggie loved her precious Heavenly Father with all of her heart; she loved to sing and worship Him and she loved to tell others about her Jesus. After Maggie died, I found a children’s Bible story book that she had written other children’s names in and was using to teach a group of children in the afternoons, after school, about the love of Jesus. That was Maggie! My heart melted, thank you Heavenly Father, for making sure my little girl’s life had so much purpose. One of the greatest loves of Maggie’s life was YOUTH CAMP! Maggie loved everything about Youth Camp – she loved being surrounded by other kids her age, she loved all of the games and fun and laughter, she loved swimming and the canteen and memorizing Bible verses with the girls in her cabin. Maggie loved our small group times when all of the girls could talk and pour out their hearts and encourage each other. Maggie absolutely loved every minute of all of these things – but most of all – she loved the night services, when she could join with the entire camp and worship her Lord and Savior because she loved Him with all of her heart. She loved singing and dancing in His presence, she loved learning more and more about Him and she loved praying with her friends as they joined together and poured out their hearts to Jesus!

It has now been 5 years since our sweet Maggie has been gone from us and we miss her more than words can express. BUT, Maggie’s memory truly lives on in so very many hearts and lives all around us. Over the past 5 years, 96 children, ranging in ages from 6-18 have had the opportunity to go to Virginia Church of God Youth Camp because of the Maggie Hollifield Scholarship Fund. And Maggie’s memory indeed lives on through every single young person who has had the opportunity to go to Youth Camp because of her!

Maggie would have been 15 years old on Feb. 21st this year. In memory of Maggie, we would love to raise $15,000.00 to continue to send kids to Camp!

P.S.  We know that so very many people have prayed for our family over the past 5 years and continue to do so. We want you to know that we have truly felt every one of those prayers, every single day. And words can not begin to express how thankful we are for every one of you.
