Help Maggie & Joe Rebuild After Devastating House Fire

This past Monday, Maggie and Joe Mroczkowski of Knox County, Ohio, lost their home in a devastating house fire. While we are incredibly grateful that they are safe, they are now facing the unimaginable task of rebuilding their lives from the ground up — and we want to rally around them in this time of deep need.

If you know Maggie, then you know what it means to be cared for. She is the heart of every room she enters — active in her church, always stepping up to help others, and lovingly referred to by many as “the unofficial mayor” of wherever she goes. Whether it’s offering a ride, a meal, or just a listening ear, Maggie is the kind of person who shows up for her people — and now, it’s time we show up for her.

Joe is a salt-of-the-earth kind of guy — a man of the land with a passion for tinkering, building, and dreaming up projects of all kinds. Many in the community may remember him from his days in the Boy Scouts of America or perhaps even from a local play where he charmed the audience with his wit and warmth.

Together, Maggie and Joe have raised 7 wonderful children and are the proud grandparents of 8 grandchildren. Their home was more than just a house — it was a gathering place, a haven, and a symbol of love that touched so many lives.

We are reaching out to anyone who knows them — whether through church, community theater, scouts, or simply a shared cup of coffee — to help us help them. Funds raised will go directly toward essential needs, temporary housing, and beginning the long process of rebuilding.
