My dog Maggie was hit by a truck just outside our house and now she’s at the emergency vet with a broken pelvis and leg. The vet says she may need surgery to heal, and even the x-rays and pain medicine are more than I can afford. My care credit card is already maxed out just from being here tonight. I’m desperate for help because I can’t lose her—she’s been my loyal companion for ten years, ever since I rescued her from abuse when she was just a year old.

Maggie is so special to me and my kids. She’s always been there for us, loving and loyal, and she’s best friends with our other dog—they’re like two peas in a pod. Even in her older years, Maggie is still spunky and loves to explore the woods, go for car rides, and nap in the cat bed by the window. She brings so much joy to our family, and we can’t imagine life without her.

Right now, I’m facing costs I just can’t cover on my own. The pain medicine alone is expensive, and Maggie needs x-rays and possibly surgery to heal.
