Sadly, the injuries she sustained have worsened over time, and Maggie is now in constant pain. Recent X‑rays show that she needs a hip replacement to have any chance of living comfortably again. Because this is classed as a pre‑existing condition, her insurance won’t cover the cost — and the surgery is expected to be around £8,500.
