Help Maggie & Cameron Heal After the Loss of Their Baby Girl

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Courtney, and I’m creating this GoFundMe on behalf of my brother Cameron and his wife Maggie, two of the kindest, most generous people you could ever meet.

On October 19th, Cameron and Maggie experienced an unimaginable loss, their precious baby girl was born stillborn. What should have been a time of joy and new beginnings has instead become the most heartbreaking chapter of their lives.

As if this tragedy weren’t enough, Maggie has been in the hospital for over 10 days, facing serious medical complications. Through it all, Cameron has remained by her side, doing everything he can to support her while also grieving the loss of their daughter.

If you know Cameron and Maggie, you know how deeply they care for others, always the first to lend a helping hand, offer kindness, and give without expecting anything in return. Now, they’re the ones who need our help.

After experiencing a miscarriage in 2022, Cameron and Maggie began the long and emotional journey of IVF. In 2025, they were overjoyed to become pregnant with their only female embryo, their miracle baby girl.

During the pregnancy, Maggie began experiencing episodes of rapid heart rate that led to multiple emergency room visits, even during their long-awaited “babymoon.” Eventually, she was placed on bed rest for the remainder of her pregnancy, a difficult setback after recently fulfilling her dream of opening her own counseling office.

For the safety of both Maggie and the baby, her care was transferred to specialists in Hershey, nearly a two-hour drive each way from their home in State College, where doctors experienced in managing heart complications during pregnancy could closely monitor them. Despite the distance, Maggie and Cameron made countless trips back and forth, determined to give their daughter the best chance possible.

At eight months pregnant, during what was supposed to be a routine appointment, Maggie and Cameron received the devastating news that their baby no longer had a heartbeat. After a several-day induction, their beautiful daughter, Audrey Jo Chestney, was born sleeping.

Since Audrey’s birth, Maggie has faced serious medical complications, including blood clots in her lungs and pelvis, and a life-threatening diagnosis of sepsis. Cameron has taken time away from work to care for Maggie and support her through recovery and unimaginable grief.

Maggie and Cameron have dedicated their lives to helping others, Maggie as a therapist and Cameron as a professor. Now, they are the ones in need of support.

Please consider donating to help this compassionate couple cover medical expenses, travel costs, lost wages and living expenses, allowing Cameron to remain by Maggie’s side as she heals. Your generosity will give them the space to grieve their daughter and find strength to move forward.
