Help Magda get through cancer

When it rains it pours.
Heavy news is hard to handle for everyone. We are getting used to the shifting realities of the world but still it comes at us from unexpected angles.
After surgery to remove non cancerous growths in her abdomen earlier this year my partner has now been diagnosed with possible bowel cancer.
This has been an incredibly stressful year, with each battle we face leading to further uphill effort. It seems like no matter how hard we fight we must continue to struggle.
While we are grateful for a healthcare system that provides excellent care we are still facing considerable upcoming costs as we must travel quite a distance to the main hospital for tests and surgeries. As well as medicines and dietary changes associated with these kind of operations.
The hospital is acting quickly and we hope for her to have surgery in the next week or so. It is urgent according to the dr, and we hope that things go smoothly.
Thanks to everyone who has helped us as we struggle through these intense midlife challenges. It means the world that people care enough to make a difference. We hope that at some point we will have some downtime to laugh over these difficult years, but now is not that time.
