Help Mafe beat Lymphoma

At the end of January, Mafe got sick with daily fevers and nausea that had no clear explanation. She made an appointment with her doctor in Cleveland and never expected what was to come. On February 3rd, after many labs and scans with no clear answers, her doctor advised her to go to the ER where she was admitted for 6 days in order to monitor her symptoms and find out the cause. Finally, On February 11th, after three weeks of being sick, she was diagnosed with Stage 4 Hodgkins Lymphoma. Hodgkin’s lymphoma is a rare type of blood cancer that affects the lymphatic system. On February 24th, Mafe had her first treatment of chemotherapy which was followed with a surgical procedure to place a port catheter in order to administer the following treatments. Since then, she has had chemotherapy treatments every two weeks. This has been the biggest challenge she has faced and there is still a long road ahead, but she continues to keep a positive mindset and appreciates all the support she has received.
