Help Maelstrom Rebuild After Quake Loss

Some of you may know that Maelstrom relocated to Thailand last year. Tragically, he was caught in the recent earthquakes and suffered an almost total loss of his belongings. When he had to evacuate his high-rise apartment during the quake, he left with only the clothes on his back—he didn’t even have shoes for the first few days. The building has since been deemed unsafe, and everything he had is now gone.

I’m Will Faules and got to know Maelstrom in our time together in Austin, TX and working in motorsport ever since. I’ve known Maelstrom for over a decade and he’s been a great friend all this time. He’s never asked for help unless he truly needed it. He’s the kind of person who shows up for others without hesitation—he’s helped countless people, including me, at the drop of a hat.

Now, it’s our turn to be there for him.

Maelstrom is facing the massive task of finding a new place to live amidst the chaos, repurchasing life’s essentials, and continuing to show up for his remote work. Anything you can contribute will go toward helping him rebuild a stable living environment and get back on his feet.
