Mae Nelson is a hard-working, selfless and compassionate wife and mother of three.

On September 5, 2023, Mae was hospitalized after determining she had suffered multiple brain stem strokes. Due to these strokes, Mae's vision, speech and coordination have been severely impacted.

Mae and her husband, David, spent 5 days in the hospital with doctors running all kinds of scans, tests, labs, you name it. She has made it home, but the future for Mae is uncertain at the moment as she will need to consult many new doctors and specialists. She has a long road of recovery ahead of her.

This GoFundMe was created to take the burden off of the Nelson Family, so that they can focus on Mae's health and give her the peace of mind to heal without the financial anxiety they are now experiencing.

Her medical treatment will be ongoing and the bills will continue to accumulate. Mae's timeline for returning to work is unknown. Her husband, David, is her sole caretaker and will need to take time off from his self-employed construction company to tend to Mae's needs.

The money they receive will be going directly towards current and future medical treatment and the family's regular living expenses.
