Help Mae Boza Fight Cancer

Thank you for taking the time to read Mae’s story.

 

If you know Mae (Maegan Roberts), you know she is strong. You know she is a fighter. You know she loves her husband Mario and her daughter Taylor. And you also know she is admittedly not good at asking for help.

 

Mae is one of our middle school deans. She shows up to work every day. She shows up on treatment days and she does her job. To say I, and the rest of her friends, family and co-workers, are in awe of her strength is an understatement. I have been blessed to work with her at two different middle schools in two different counties during our careers in education. I wanted to do something to help her and her family as they fight this battle.

 

Three weeks ago Mae was diagnosed with Stage IV metastatic breast cancer. This came as a huge shock to her and her family, as she was originally stage one. Mae has taken the past three weeks to learn about her diagnosis, her treatment options, get opinions, and grieve. Yes, grieve. In her own words “I will continue to fight but this is so hard to understand and accept.”

Mae should be spending time with Mario and Taylor and focusing on her health. I would like to ask any friends and family that are capable to please consider donating to this GoFundMe page that I am organizing for Mae and her family. Focusing 100% on her health, without worries or stress from mounting bills or missed wages would be a huge weight to remove from their already burdened minds.
