Howdy yall! Since I lovingly refer to myself as Humpty Dumpty this feels like a fitting picture for this ask.

Many of you know me as a sassy comedian that emits positivity, and some of you may know I have chronic health issues. My issues started back in 2009 and have progressively gotten worse, namely over the last 2 years.

It’s hard for me to ask for help and even harder to publicly admit to anyone that sees this: I’m disabled. And have been a long time. If you’ve known me and didn’t know that, a lot of things may make sense now. I need help, and wouldn’t ask if I didn’t truly need it and had exhausted literally all resources.

In 2022 I got sick with an abscess that came back as staph. My team of providers and I believe the staph has never truly left my body since that time. I have lost 153 lbs, while I have been more active since having my child when I can, this is not a reflection of diet change or working out. If anything it’s a reflection of being unable to eat due to constant antibiotics, feeling worse or puking afterwards, and having a very difficult time.

I have missed more work than I have worked this year. 2 months ago I was diagnosed with cellulitis (staph) in my face. I took a round of antibiotics and didn’t feel much better, 2 weeks later it came back. I then got a sinus infection. After being unable to breathe I went to the ER and I was diagnosed with an oral ABSCESS. I haven’t gotten the culture back yet and don’t even need to, I now know it’s attacking my face. I need rapid competent help. My internist realizes this and is referring me to an Infectious Disease specialist at Mayo in Rochester, MN.

Due to my ongoing condition and current state of it, I am being put on a cancellation wait list. They could literally call me at any time and say “come now”. Whilst I am extremely ready to get to the bottom of this at all costs, you can imagine the financial burden that is after spending $600 just in 3 days on my tooth extraction.

I’ve lived in rough areas my whole adulthood due to my disability. I have had a crap credit score in seasons due to my disability, I continue to build anyway. And I will until I die. I haven’t asked for help before but I am now. I have to be able to pursue this opportunity for myself and my son. It is my understanding there is a potential to need more than one trip.

I’m creating this gofundme for those costs only. The money will be used for:

Vehicle Rental and fuel

Childcare while at appointments

Hotel accommodations

Immediate treatments needed or the supplies, prescriptions for that treatment
