We are Madonna's family and friends, set on fighting Leukemia with her. Last November 2016, Madonna was first confined in the hospital. It was also there that she spent her birthday, not knowing what's causing the pains in her stomach. After several tests, she was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML). AML is type of leukemia, and leukemia is a cancer of the blood and bone marrow. It progresses quickly - from symptoms to diagnosis - which is also the case for Madonna. In the course of a month, from being a healthy mother- strong enough forwork, vacations, and playtime with her daughter. She's spent the last weeks - including Christmas and New Year's eve, inside the hospital, getting in and out of surgery, treating her infections, and dealing with the physical and emotional pain that AML has intruded her life with. She was given a month to live if she chose not to go through chemotherapy. But we all choose to fight with her, and we are also asking for your help - to at least alleviate her with the worry on costs and expenses that comes with this fight.
