This is my 16 year old niece Madisyn. She is a student in Palm Bay High school. Here’s our story. A couple weeks ago she had a doctors appointment in which we thought she had a UTi. Maddy has been dealing with UTI since she was 4 years old because of trauma that had happened. The pediatrician doctor told her to take Maddie to the hospital for some tests because there was blood in her urine and that wasn’t good so her mom took her to the hospital where we live in Florida .They ran tests and come to find out Maddy is in kidney failure. So she was rushed to Orlando Children’s hospital there she stayed for about 1 week in a half and came home and to return back for a recheck today March 26,2025. After seeing the doctor today after a long morning of bloodwork and ultrasound they told Maddie and her mom Natasha that Maddie needed to be readmitted to the hospital because she wasn’t getting better at actually is has gotten much worst to where her kidneys are only functioning at 13% And that they needed to place a catheter placed inside Madisyn to try and stop the urine from going from her bladder into her kidneys. They told us after this step it will be a long road ahead for all of us. That once she is stable she will have to start dialysis and also need to be placed on a kidney transplant list. Natasha and her aunt are the sole providers for our home and with Natasha being out of work to be a the hospital with Madisyn that leaves her aunt being the only one working to provide for the family of 5 children and Madisyn’s Nana and uncle Jon.
