Hello, my name is Dena, and I am Madison’s grandma. I’m creating this GoFundMe to support Madison and her parents during an unexpected and overwhelming medical journey.

Madison was recently hospitalized after experiencing severe abdominal bloating, weight loss, and ongoing digestive issues. Doctors initially suspected intestinal malrotation, a congenital condition that can be very serious, and she underwent surgery to evaluate and address any immediate risks. While the surgery was important and preventative, her medical team believes there may be more going on than just a structural issue, and further testing will be needed once she has healed.

Madison now faces a difficult recovery and continued hospitalization while doctors carefully work to understand what’s causing her symptoms and determine the best path forward. At this time, her parents are staying at the hospital and have not wanted to leave her side.

Because of this, Madison’s mom and dad have had to take time off work and are facing unexpected expenses, including medical bills, meals, travel, and lost income. As Madison’s care continues, there may also be lodging and additional costs once they are comfortable stepping away from the hospital.

Their only focus right now is helping little Madison heal and feel safe. We are asking for support to help ease the financial burden on their family so they can remain fully present for her during this challenging time.
