Help Madison Recover from a Life-Changing Accident

On September 18th, our sweet 12-year-old Madison was involved in a devastating accident. While riding her bike home from school, she was struck by a car. In an instant, our active, joyful girl’s life was turned upside down.

Madison suffered serious injuries, including a broken left femur that required a rod to be surgically inserted into her bone, and painful contusions on her left shin that needed stitches. Her right tibia was also broken, requiring screws to stabilize her ankle. Additionally, she experienced swelling and abrasions around her ribs, along with road rash all over her body—most severely on her right hip. As if that weren’t enough, her hemoglobin levels continued to drop, and she needed a blood transfusion to stabilize her condition. The road to recovery will be long and challenging but we put our faith to God. Doctors say she will need months, possibly years, of physical therapy, medical care, and rehabilitation to regain her strength.

We just thank God that she was wearing her helmet and backpack, as we now know they saved her life. (Wear your helmets kids)

As you can imagine, the medical bills are overwhelming for our family. From hospital stays and surgeries to the ongoing therapies she will need, the costs are quickly adding up. While we are doing everything we can to support Madison, we can’t do it alone. That’s why we’re reaching out to friends, family, and the community for help.
