On December 26, 2025, my best friend Madison Palmer was involved in a devastating car accident that was completely out of her control. The crash totaled her car and, heartbreakingly, changed her life forever.

Madison was 12 weeks pregnant at the time. Immediately after the accident, she knew something wasn’t right and went to the hospital. After multiple visits to the ER and Labor & Delivery, doctors confirmed the unthinkable: her baby no longer had a heartbeat. They also discovered that the impact of the crash caused her placenta to detach from the uterus, making the pregnancy no longer viable.

In the blink of an eye, Madison lost her unborn child and her only means of transportation.

Adding to the heartbreak, that same day she was supposed to be driving to California to spend time with her 14-year-old brother, who is currently battling osteosarcoma. Instead of being with family during an incredibly difficult time, Madison found herself navigating unimaginable grief, trauma, and uncertainty.
