THE STORY: Inspired by real events, “Resilience” is a non-profit feature film that follows the story of a young girl caught in the vicious cycle of the foster system, who is suddenly sentenced to a correctional facility for teens that creates a "Lord of the Flies" environment in the name of “therapy”... Amidst the chaos of the brutal punishments within the system, the students find glimpses of hope through unlikely friendships that form.

THE GOAL: Our goal in making this film is to spread awareness to the fact that facilities like this are still open today, and to inspire redemption and hope to our generation that has been pitted destructively against one another.

A NON PROFIT APPROACH: Any revenue that we make on this film will be given back in a 50/50 split plan: 50% will go towards the advocacy groups that are currently pushing to change legislation in order to regulate these schools, and 50% will go towards making more advocacy films like this. If you want to be a part of helping us tell this story, your donation will be going towards making this movie happen.

CURRENT PHASE: We have accomplished filming this movie, and are currently in the post production phase with editing, color timing and sound design! Thank you to everyone who has given and supported to get us this far! We are now raising the remaining $75,000 to cover the rest of editing and go straight into marketing and distribution!
