Let me introduce you to my best friend, Madison—although if you’ve ever met her, you already know she quickly becomes everyone’s best friend. Her joy, kindness, and contagious spirit make her unforgettable.

Madison relies on her power wheelchair for mobility, and her accessible van is essential to her daily life. On Thursday, April 16, her mom, LaTresa, was involved in an accident that tragically totaled the van. Thankfully, she is okay—but Madison has now lost her only reliable means of transportation.

This van wasn’t just a vehicle—it was Madison’s independence. It allowed her to get to school, attend events, and simply live life as a vibrant 20-year-old should. Without it, her world becomes much smaller, and opportunities many of us take for granted are suddenly out of reach.

While she does have car insurance, the process takes time, and the payout won’t even come close to covering the cost of a properly equipped accessible vehicle.

That’s why we’re asking our community to come together for Madison and her family. If you know Madison, you love her. She and her mom are such a special part of this community, and her impact on others is truly something rare.
