I’m Madison, and I got into UC Berkeley... so i can formally study how to make better sourdough.
Okay, that’s a little half-baked—but I’m genuinely passionate about food, nutrition, and how it can change lives.
I was selected for Berkeley’s Regents’ and Chancellor’s Program (top 2%), and I’ve maintained a 4.6 GPA at Millikan High School while dual enrolling at LBCC. I’ve been in bilingual education my whole life. Outside the classroom, I’m a cross country captain, lacrosse player, and involved in theater and public acting. I’m also part of Rotary Club, which has shaped my commitment to service and leadership.
At Berkeley, I plan to continue that through Rotaract, research, and Army ROTC, staying grounded in service while pushing myself academically.
Even with scholarships, the cost is still overwhelming. Any support means more than I can say—thank you for helping me take this next step toward a lifetime of service.
