Hello, my name is Phil,
The woman in the picture above is my beautiful wife, Madison, and we are fortunate enough to be having our first child, a little boy! Everything was going great during her pregnancy until August 5th. She went in for a routine ultrasound and had extremely high blood pressure, 205/108. Oddly enough, she felt perfectly fine and was shocked by the diagnosis. Then we figured out the severity of the situation, and things began to get a bit more complicated. She was flown to the nearest hospital that could support a delivery so prematurely, which is about an hour and a half away from our home. I packed up some things, made sure our dogs were taken care of, and drove immediately to the hospital. When I arrived, she was still laughing and joking around with me as always. But the doctors informed me that she will be here at least another six weeks or longer due to her having preeclampsia and needing to be monitored. This has put us in a financial bind. We are new parents and are still securing our financial independence, so we are reaching out to anyone who may want to donate.
The money we receive will be going strictly towards:
- Lodging before and after the baby is born. We are 80 miles from our residence, and due to the severity of the diagnosis, there's a minimum of 6 weeks away from home.
- Fuel to get back and forth from our hometown to the hospital when needed.
- Medical expenses, including the helicopter flight.
- Food for us while we are away.
- Newborn food and any items that we have not already purchased.
She already has a lot on her plate, and I know finances tend to stress her out, which isn’t good for her or the baby.
I'm not usually one to ask for assistance, but we could really use some love from anyone who can spare it.
Thank you for your consideration!
Phillip and Madison Hays
