Help Madison and Juan reunite after being separated

My name is Mary Madison Wolfe Pestana and my husband, Juan David Pestana Buendia, was taken by ICE on Friday, May 9th, 2025. I am a US citizen that has been married to Juan David since December 22, 2023. We were defrauded by a woman who claimed to be a paralegal. We submitted all of our documentation to her back in 2024. She assured us that our papers were submitted. In April of 2025, we discovered that she had lied about her credentials and that the papers were not submitted until April 2025. They were then rejected by USCIS due to being filed improperly. They had gone as far as forging our signatures. After discovering this, I personally redid and refiled all of our paperwork, which has since been accepted by USCIS as of April 24, 2025. Even with his pending green card, my husband was still detained. He has also been detained with a charge of overstaying his visa waiver. If the paperwork had been submitted in a timely fashion and correctly, he never would have been in this position. The charge he is facing leaves his case entirely in the hands of ICE themselves. He is not going to be given a trial to decide his fate. He is married to a US citizen. He should be allowed to come home to his family. My husband was our sole source of income for the time being because I was a medical student who does not begin residency until July. We are asking for help to afford legal fees associated with getting him out, as well as assistance with paying rent, expenses, etc., while he is being detained.
