Last year, Madiou left his home and all he knew, just to survive. A university-educated dad from Togo, he spent years peacefully standing up for fair elections, democracy, and human rights. But when his activism put his life in danger, he faced an impossible choice: stay and risk everything, or leave behind everyone he loved.

He set off on a journey to the United States - through 8 countries, two months, and unthinkable hardship - just for a chance at safety, and with hope to find somewhere safe to bring his family.
Today? He’s made it.

After entering the United States, spending 6 more months in an immigrant detention facility, and making a successful claim for asylum, Madiou is starting from scratch and building a new life in Arizona.

But here’s the hard truth:

His wife, Rachida, and young kids (Ifrad, 5, and Kadidja, 3) are still at risk in Togo. His children jump at loud noises, and his wife lives in fear. Every day apart is agony.

This isn’t just about survival anymore.
It’s about reuniting a family separated by persecution.
It’s about healing together in a country where kids can play without fear.

How You Can Help
We’re rallying around Madiou now to:
● Cover legal fees to fast-track his family’s asylum paperwork
● Secure an apartment so they’ve got a home waiting
● Pay for flights from Togo to Arizona
● Set up job support (he’s smart—ready to work!)

This is the finish line Madiou dreamed of during those terrifying nights on the run.

Let’s get them here.

Every dollar brings Rachida, Ifrad, and Kadidja closer to the safety they deserve.
