Help Madi Study Abroad in Rome!

Hi, my name is Madison, and I'm a third-year International Relations and Economics student at American University. Global issues, such as economic development, women's health, immigration, and human rights, have been at the center of my studies for the past three years; I have been waiting for the opportunity to travel and encounter these issues first-hand.

I have recently been awarded the opportunity to study abroad in Rome, Italy, for the Fall 2022 semester (this will be my second to last semester of college). I believe that this is a chance for me to integrate into another culture, broaden my global perspective, explore my faith, understand racial dynamics, and further my research on the migration and integration of African refugees in Western Europe. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, and I cannot be more grateful to my family, who have helped guide me here. However, we need help! The process leading up to going abroad has been intense and rather sudden regarding the finances.

All donations are greatly appreciated as I am on a short-notice deadline. All of the proceeds would help cover airfare, housing, meals, and transportation. I am incredibly honored to have even been considered for this opportunity and I hope to be getting on a plane in August to Rome :)
