Hi everyone!

I’m so excited to share that I’ve been selected to represent Australia in the Under 24 Women’s Underwater Hockey Team at the 7th Age Group World Championships in Turkey this July 2026!

As a many of you know, I am also currently a full time Paramedicine student, balancing university studies, placement, a casual cafe job, and hockey training (games, gyms and swim sessions).

Some of you might remember that I had planned to trial last year but ended up withdrawing due to a few reasons. Therefore, being given this opportunity now means even more to me.

I’ve been playing underwater hockey for about 4.5 years and have proudly represented South Australia at multiple national competitions, including the U19s and now the Elite Women’s team. This will be my very first World Championship, and I couldn’t be more excited to compete on the internationally.

As amazing as this opportunity is, underwater hockey is a completely self-funded sport. Between flights, accommodation, uniforms, training camps, equipment, and travel insurance, the costs add up quickly. I’m currently working towards raising around $9,000 to get me to Turkey!
