On August 15th, 2022, Caitlin and Christopher received the heartbreaking news that their youngest of three, Madelyn, and soon-to-be big sister to a baby boy, was diagnosed with B-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. On September 8th, 2022, Madelyn was considered stable enough and was able to come home.
On September 19th, 2022, results from Madelyn's second bone marrow biopsy confirmed that the induction phase of chemotherapy treatment was successful, and she was considered to be in remission. For the remainder of the next 2+ years of chemotherapy, invasive procedures and tests will be to prevent relapse and to eliminate any remaining cancer cells from Madelyn's body.
Caitlin and Christopher will take time off from work to care for Madelyn, including long drives to NYC for Madelyn's DR appointments, which you can imagine with a new baby coming soon is an emotional and financial hardship. The family would appreciate any support that can allow them to be stress-free and available to her.
Let us all surround this family with prayer, love, hope and community as they navigate an uncharted chapter in their lives. Thank you so much for your donation to this cause as Madelyn continues to fight to get better.
