Help Madeline get the care she needs

Hi friends! We welcomed Madeline Renae on November 27th at 11am that evening the pediatrician noticed Madeline had a heart murmur which required more tests to be done that Skagit couldn’t provide. That early AM, Madeline only being 16 hours old we made the tough decision to have Brian and Madeline take an ambulance down to Seattle Children’s Hospital to get her heart looked at. During the first couple days of our stay we found out some other health concerns restricting us from bringing Madeline home, as of today we have been at Seattle Children’s Hospital for over 12 days. With that being said Madeline will need to have heart surgery when she is stronger, around 3 months of age. With living over 2 hours away from the hospital we will be driving a lot back and forth for appointments and upcoming tests to be done since we are still trying to piece everything that’s going on with her together. Hoping to be discharged in the upcoming week is the goal if we have good test results. Once we have a heart surgery date we will be spending another 1-2 weeks in the hospital after for recovery. This is nothing we were expecting and it has been a very taxing experience. With me being a stay at home mom and Brian in between jobs right now anything helps. We appreciate everyone that have been praying and keeping us in their thoughts.
