Hi everyone,

I’m raising funds to help my friend, Made, in Bali get a motorbike so he can start working as a taxi driver and support his family.

Right now, work opportunities are very sparse and he and his family are struggling to afford basic food. Work opportunities are limited for him without transport. In Bali, having a scooter isn’t a luxury—it’s essential. With one, he’ll be able to work daily as a driver, pick up passengers, and earn a steady income to cover his living costs and support his family.

I am aiming to raise £1000, which will cover:

* A reliable second-hand scooter

* A helmet and safety gear

* Registration and basic setup costs

This isn’t just about buying a bike—it’s about giving him a real chance at consistent work and independence.

I’ve known Made since 2005 when I met him whilst I was travelling post uni (see pic). We have stayed in touch ever since. He’s a kind and hardworking man with 2 child and a wife to support. Over the years he has had to search endlessly for work but always manages to find something. Sadly he’s been struggling for months and I would love to be able to help him out. He’s ready to work—he just needs the right tools to get started.
