Help Maddy's Family Recover From Flood
Donation protected
On Monday night, my family and I experienced an emergency due to catastrophic flooding in the area we live in: Baton Rouge, LA. We are currently homeless and have no mode of transportation. Overnight, we received almost two feet of water in our home. It has affected all areas of our life. The situation is desperate due to unforeseen circumstances. We are in urgent need of remediation, relief, stabilization, and support. We are unclear of the timeline as to when our home will be in a livable condition or return to work. We will continue to see more rainfall throughout the week. Please see the following news links for more information on the flooding in our area:

In my neighborhood alone, over 70 houses flooded and there are thousands more over the state of Louisiana. Yet this flooding has not been declared a national disaster so we are not receiving any support from FEMA. Because of the volume of claims the insurance company is receiving, there is no sign as to when we will receive financial support.
Currently, repairs on our home will begin on the 26th but we do not have any financial support for either these repairs or even basic necessities including food, clothing, cleaning supplies, etc. All of our vehicles were totaled and destroyed, a majority of our items and family memories were destroyed, and our house is ruined. Any and all financial support is welcomed.
