Last night, Maddy’s life changed forever.
While she was asleep, a fire broke out in her room — quickly spreading and threatening to take everything. She had no warning… until her dogs woke her just in time. They saved her life.
What happened next shows just how strong and selfless Maddy truly is.
In the middle of chaos and fear, she didn’t just run — she acted. Maddy rescued all of her animals — her three dogs, her three cats, and even her snake — making sure every single one of them made it out safely. She then woke her mum and brother, getting them out of the house and into safety.
Even as the fire spread, she tried to contain it — closing doors and doing everything she could to stop it from getting worse until firefighters arrived.
Her quick thinking saved lives that night.
But the trauma didn’t end there.
The overwhelming stress and anxiety caused Maddy to suffer seven seizures that same night. After everything she had already endured, her body was pushed to its absolute limit.
And still… she lost everything.
The fire destroyed her room and everything in it — her clothes, her belongings, and the irreplaceable treasures that meant the most to her. Gifts from her late grandmother, cherished photos, and artwork from throughout her life… all gone in a matter of moments.
Maddy already faces challenges most people can’t imagine. Living with Autism and ADHD, she has fought through a difficult life filled with personal struggles and ongoing stress. Just as things were starting to look brighter, this tragedy has taken away what little stability and comfort she had.
To make things even harder, her family does not have house insurance. There is no safety net. No financial support to help her rebuild what she has lost.
Right now, Maddy has nothing. No clothes. No personal belongings. No way to replace even the basics.
I’m Ryan, her boyfriend, I started a GoFundMe for her to try and help her rebuild her essentials, If you would like to donate, any amount is appreciated and will be used on clothes, food, furniture etc.
Maddy is one of the strongest, kindest people I know. Even in the worst moment of her life, she put others first and saved everyone she could. Now she needs help.
