As many of you know, our dear Maddy underwent surgery in October to relieve fluid buildup in her brain. A shunt was placed to manage the condition, but she still has a cerebella’s dysplastic gagliocytoma— rare tumor caused by Cowden’s Syndrome, which is linked to a PTEN gene mutation she carries. After months of navigating insurance back-and-fourth, Maddy now has the final out-of-pocket costs she is responsible for. The financial burden has added an extra layer of stress to an already challenging journey. Maddy is a full-time student who takes on side jobs when she can, but she needs our help to stay afloat. We’re aiming to raise $10,000 to ease this financial strain so she can focus on her health and studies.
