Help Maddison beat Cancer for the 3rd time.

Hi, I'm Tera, I'm the aunt of Maddison. I write this go-fund me with alot of emotion, and vulnerability with the permission of my younger and only sister, Lindsay. Many of you know our beautiful Maddison's journey with Childhood Cancer and this comes during #ChildhoodCancer awareness month.

On August 18, 2025 , Maddison had a routine blood test that showed her tumor count had more then tripled her base amount. A second blood test 2 weeks later showed it had doubled. This result came the day before her first day of Kindergarten and just 2 days before she turned 5 years old.

The oncologist believes this tumor is in a new location and aggressive enough that future scans should be able to see the new location and treatment will likely start at the end of September. We do not know all the details, but there is some concern that her cancer will not be curable this time.

The funds will be used to allow Maddison and her family to take a quick vacation before treatment starts for the 3rd time, to San Diego so she can experience Sea World, San Diego Zoo and other experiences. Maddison was approved for a Make a Wish vacation in October 2023, Her wish to go to Disney World Florida was granted in June 2024, which was put off to allow the health of Maddison to return. We don't know if she will still be able to go, they have a 3 year limit.

Any left over funds will be given to the family to off set the cost of Jamie and Lindsay taking time off work. As you could imagine, they have had to look after the many hospital visits, tests, treatment, taking time off work.

Maddison's journey so far:

-Diagnosed with Sacrococcygeal teratoma at 2 years old after a bump presented on her back in Oct 2022

-ultrasound showed an extremely aggressive tumor, diagnosed with Cancer.

-A biopsy confirmed a tumor but was too large to be removed so they had no choice but to start Chemo to help shrink it.

-many many rounds of Chemo, a second surgery to remove the shrunken tumor that was still the size of a grapefruit and tail bone.

-Spending 31 days straight in the hospital finishing December 2022, just in time for us to enjoy a very emotional Christmas. She was cleared and such a warrior.

-Her younger sister at this time was only 5 months old when diagnosed, which is a challenge in its self, to juggle two small children.

-Shortly before her 3rd birthday in Aug 2023 barely 6 months after being cleared. We were devastated to know the cancer had returned. She had a second surgery that was unsuccessful and did not remove it. Maddison went immediately into 6 rounds of in-patient chemo treatment followed by 30 days of Radiation and many other medical tests. She was finally cleared in April 2024, and could return to being an amazing 3 year old.

-Maddison had barely a measly 1 year of NO CANCER. Our past Christmas was so memorable and the ability for my sister & family to travel again had just started. The amount of time Cancer has robbed from Maddison's childhood is unfathomable and not anyone should have to deal with.
